I finally got to visit Italy last fall, and wow – it wasn’t just pretty, it felt alive. If you're going, here are the 3 places that blew my mind (and stole my heart )
1. Rome: History Everywhere You Step
Walking around Rome felt like stepping into a movie. I sat on the Spanish Steps eating gelato, threw a coin in the Trevi Fountain (fingers crossed I go back!), and got lost in tiny streets smelling like pizza. Best moment? Sitting outside at a little café near the Pantheon as the sun went down. You just feel the history here.
PS:Eat cacio e pepe pasta. Life-changing.
2. Florence: Art, Food & Good Vibes
Florence is small but so beautiful. I climbed up to Piazzale Michelangelo for sunset – the whole city turns golden, and you see the Duomo right in the middle. Down below, I wandered markets, ate the best sandwich of my life (at All'Antico Vinaio – trust me), and saw Michelangelo’s David. Felt fancy just being there!
3. Venice: Like Nowhere Else on Earth
Yes, it’s busy. But floating down quiet canals on a cheap *traghetto* (like a mini-gondola!) as church bells ring? Unreal. I ditched the map near the Rialto Bridge, found a tiny bar, and ate fried fish with locals. Getting lost here is the whole point – every corner looks like a postcard.
The Real Deal:
- Talk to people. Italians are warm. A smile and "ciao" go far!
- Slow down.Sit. Sip espresso. Watch the world go by.
- Eat simply.Fresh pasta, good bread, local wine. Perfection.
Italy isn’t about ticking boxes – it’s about feeling it. These 3 places? They stuck with me. Can’t wait to go back. 😊
What’s the first place YOU’D visit?
All thoughts + obsessions over Italian food are 100% mine. No sponsors, just love!
